Review the slatwall groove and insert as one assembly
YENC reviews custom MDF slatwall panels with aluminum or PVC inserts and factory fitting when required. For a retail display or shopfitting project, the panel drawing and insert profile need to be checked together before production is confirmed.
Send project information
Information to send before a fit review
- Panel drawing: board thickness, groove section, depth, pitch, direction and edge offsets.
- Dimensioned insert section, length and finish requirement.
- Accessory interface and whether factory fitting is required.
- Quantity, acceptance criteria and protection for transport.
A similar photograph does not establish compatibility
A photograph can help explain appearance but does not define the complete section or machining tolerances. Keep the panel and insert information under an identified drawing revision. If an insert or accessory changes, review the affected interfaces again.
Where samples or fit checks are required, agree their scope and acceptance basis before batch production. Do not treat a shared product name as evidence that profiles from different sources are interchangeable.
An insert alone does not establish a load rating
A display assembly also depends on the board, groove geometry, accessory, fixing and loading conditions. This guide does not publish a universal load figure. Where performance evidence is required, define the assembly and use conditions, then check that the supporting records match the proposed construction.
Define the supply boundary
Distinguish panels with inserts, separately packed panels and inserts, and a request for inserts alone. YENC’s published slatwall scope includes project-reviewed insert supply and fitting. Standalone insert supply, source, colour, quantity and timing need separate confirmation.
Terminology for international RFQs
“Aluminum inserts” and “aluminium inserts” are US and UK spelling variants. Include a section drawing to distinguish slatwall inserts from general trim or construction channels. PVC inserts are a different material and should be specified separately.
